Constantiaziplining and wine
Ziplines over the wine estates, a tasting with cheese on the terrace at Beau Constantia and a viognier with a bright creamy finish that I'll remember for a long time.

The fifth chapter of the South Africa trip. Constantia is a wine region on the southern edge of Cape Town, on the mountain slopes. It’s easy to come here for a day from the city.
Ziplines over the wine estates
We started with a zipline: Constantia Zipline at the Silvermist wine estate. You fly over the vineyards, and the views are insane. The organisation was good too.
We finished the ziplines, got changed, and were soon sipping wine right there at Silvermist.

Beau Constantia
Then we drove to Beau Constantia, and it was really great. First we sat on the upper terrace and tasted wine together, with cheese. Everything was simply superb. Then we moved lower, closer to the views, and chilled at the estate for a long time.
One wine deserves a mention of its own. It’s Cecily, a viognier from Beau Constantia. It was the first time I’d tasted a wine this good: with a bright, creamy finish. Absolutely top-notch.

Evening
After the wine estates we simply took an easy dip in the pool in the courtyard of our apartment.
