Waterfallsan easy day
After Khoisi they promised us an easy day, and they didn't lie. A cascade of waterfalls, an icon in a ravine and an aurora far brighter than the first.

Except for public figures, the names of people in this story have been changed for privacy.
The fifth chapter of the Putorana Plateau trip. After nine hours through the bog I woke up with aching legs and a slightly sore back.
Fortunately, the day was promised to be easy, and it was. We got on a boat and went to a new place. The climb was a bit hard, but short.
A cascade and an icon in a ravine
We hung out at the waterfalls all day. It’s a cascade: the classic kind of waterfall for the Putorana Plateau: water falls in several steps. First we walked up under the first step, then climbed to the top, then to the second. We even climbed into a ravine and found an icon there.
We came back, ate fried potatoes with mushrooms and pickled cucumbers, washed and began preparing for the main day: the climb onto the plateau.

An aurora brighter than the first
I was just about to go to sleep when Lena knocked on my door: she and Misha had seen the northern lights, and far cooler than the first. I ran out to the shore, then everyone gathered there. It was great!! And now to sleep 😴
